Entries are now coming in for the area's premier Historic rally and judging by the requests for entry forms the organisers are hopeful for a capacity field on the 1st of February. Entries so far include last years winners John Ruddock and his navigator John Heppell with their Mexico, Charles Graves & Ron Palmer from the Lakes, who dispite an excellent 6th place last time, have forsaken their usual Jaguar XK 150 for Charles' 4.2 litre Sunbeam Tiger, Aberdonians Adrian Stewart and Tom Hynd are making the long trek with a Cooper S and the spectacular Andy Beaumont has entered his RS 2000 and has a new navigator Andy Fish for this season. Other interesting cars include Alpine A110, Lancia Fulvia, MG Magnette and Healey 3000's.
Most of the action will be at Croft circuit with the competitors first visit from 9.30am. The cars then leave the circuit for 3 regularity sections, plus two new special test sites around the area, returning to Croft at lunchtime for three special tests in the afternoon before heading back to the start venue at Darlington Football Ground for the 'finishers' meal and prize giving.
